TEAPC: Adaptive Computing and Underclocking in a Real PC
نویسندگان
چکیده
TEAPC is an IBM/Intel-standard PC realization of the TEAtime performance “maximizing” adaptive computing algorithm, giving performance beyond worstcase-specifications. TEAPC goes beyond the TEAtime algorithm by adapting to the current CPU load. It is also the first machine to use extensive underclocking for disaster tolerance, low power consumption and high reliability. This is all done dynamically, at runtime, on an unmodified standard operating system (Windows 2000) with a purely software-implemented feedback-control based algorithm. Copyright © 2004 A. K. TEAPC: Temperature Adaptive Computing in a Real PC
TEAPC is an IBM/Intel-standard PC realization of a CPU temperature-adaptive feedback-control system. The control system adjusts the CPU frequency and/or voltage to maintain a constant set-point temperature. TEAPC dynamically adapts to changing CPU computation loads, as well as any other system phenomenon that affects the CPU temperature. For example, with the specific TEAPC hardware, should the...
متن کاملBreast Cancer Risk Assessment Using adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) and Subtractive Clustering Algorithm
Introduction: The adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is a soft computing model based on neural network precision and fuzzy decision-making advantages, which can highly facilitate diagnostic modeling. In this study we used this model in breast cancer detection. Methodology: A set of 1,508 records on cancerous and non-cancerous participant’s risk factors was used. First,...

متن کاملImproving the Resilience of Military Hospitals Through Self-Adaptation of Hospital Systems Using Organic Computing
Background and Aim: Among the failures of a disaster, the disruption of the critical infrastructure of the community causes the most damage to society. Therefore, the ability of critical infrastructure such as hospitals to anticipate, absorb, adapt or rapidly recover from a devastating event is essential. The purpose of this study is to design a self-adaptive model for resilient hospital system...
